Process flow of wastewater treatment plant
To understand how the dissolved air flotation unit works in the wastewater treatment plant, we first need to briefly understand the process flow of the wastewater treatment plant. The process flow of wastewater treatment plant mainly includes the following steps:
Pre-treatment:
It includes mesh screening, coarse screening, sand basin sedimentation, and regulating reservoirs, which are used to remove large particles (such as leaves, paper, sand, etc.) and suspended matter, reducing the load on subsequent processes. The function of the regulating reservoir is to regulate the water quantity and quality of the wastewater, ensuring the normal operation of subsequent treatment structures or equipment.
Primary treatment:
including sedimentation tanks or central decantation tanks, allowing heavy suspended solids to naturally precipitate from the wastewater under static conditions.
Biological treatment:
Organic matter is engulfed and converted into harmless substances by microorganisms. Common biological reactors include aerated activated sludge processes, submerged biological filters, and SBRs
Secondary treatment:
It is the process of further treating residual organic wastewater and nitrogen and phosphorus substances on the basis of primary good biochemical effects. Secondary treatment systems include biological contact oxidation tanks, artificial wetlands, activated carbon adsorption, etc.
Advanced treatment:
In the previous process flow, organic matter and nitrogen and phosphorus have been well removed, but further refined treatment is needed to meet higher emission requirements.
Dissolved Air Flotation Unit be used for?
dissolved air flotation units can be used in the pre-treatment and advanced treatment stages of wastewater treatment plants. In the pre-treatment stage, dissolved air flotation units can replace sedimentation tanks to remove suspended solids that are difficult to precipitate using the principle of buoyancy of bubbles, thereby reducing the load on subsequent processes. In the advanced treatment stage, dissolved air flotation units can further improve the efficiency and effectiveness of wastewater treatment, separating harmful dissolved elements in the wastewater through chemical reactions to form flocs, and then using the micro-bubbles of dissolved air flotation units to float the flocs to the surface for separation, further improving water quality.
A kind of dissolved air flotation unit specially used for wastewater treatment plants
High efficient roll flow (DAF)dissolved air flotation is a newly designed dissolved air flotation system with high hydraulic load and large capacity. Jorsun Environment’s engineers carry out the comprehensive design based on flow state, flow speed, air dissolved water distribution density etc, and also utilize the FLUENT SYSTEM for calculation. Significantly improve the hydraulic load and operating efficiency, as its operating load can reach 3-5 times more than conventional dissolved air flotation.
Main Character and superiority of High efficient roll flow DAF
Larger capacity. Max capacity can be up to 30000 t/day .
Higher hydraulic load. Actual tested operation load 25m/h 2-3 times higher than traditional DAF or superficial DAF.
Lower power consumption. Save 15-30% energy consumption compared with traditional DAF.
Smaller footprint. 20-40% less than traditional DAF footprint.
Excellent outlet water. SS<5mg/L and phosphorus<0.1mg/L for WWTP upgrade project outlet water.
Applied Field of High efficient roll flow DAF
WWTP upgrade, water purification of wastewater treatment plant, river and landscape lake, sea water desalination plant etc .
