What is Dissolved Air Flotation Process

Purpose of Dissolved air flotation system: To remove suspended solids (SS), fats, oils, grease (FOG), and phosphorus (P) from industrial wastewaters effectively and economically.
Principle: Generation of micro bubbles through an air saturation vessel and air diffuser.
Chemical Process: Treatment chemicals are dosed upstream of the DAF inlet to form flocs, which interact with micro bubbles in the DAF chamber.
Separation Process: Micro bubbles attach to flocs, causing them to float to the top, where they are skimmed off by the top skimmer.
Effluent Discharge: Clean effluent is collected and discharged after the separation process.
